Australia flag wooden sign with a beach on background - Oceania-1

Always dreamt of travelling across the world to experience Australia? Want to meet kangaroos, wombats and koala bears? Maybe you’d like to walk alongside the picturesque harbour and see the incredible architecture of the famous Sydney Opera House or spend the weekend lounging around at the beach, topping up a nice, golden tan! Australia is calling you and if you thought it was out of reach, you’re wrong! With TravelEdventures, Oz could become a reality with a work and study placement at Travelmania, one of the leading European travel companies. It needn’t cost a lot of money either. With a grant, it can be an affordable trip – just apply through your country’s National Agency or get in touch with our team and we’ll help you with the application process for Erasmus+ or Turing funding.

Improve your English and Work in Travel!

A work and study placement in Australia gives you a remarkable opportunity – not only will you improve your English language (the course runs weekly, with 15 hours of language tuition), you’ll get to experience what it’s like working in Australia, with afternoons spent in a travel industry office. Courses start the first Monday of the month and language lessons are in the morning and the work placements in the afternoon every weekday. The language school couldn’t be better placed either, it’s right in the centre of Sydney, just 20 minutes walk from the harbour so there’s lots of opportunities to explore the vibrant city, shop and eat good food too.

If you love anything to do with travel, then this placement is ideal. You’ll work in a team at our partner school office in Sydney, in travel, and the internship will be exclusively in English. It’s amazing how much you’ll see your language skills improve and this will be a real bonus for future employment. Activities and tasks will include a selection of the following (depending on your own personal strengths and language skills): project management, translation, event management, business correspondence and day-to-day business. You’ll also be expected to organise f. i. a Flash Mob in a public space in Sydney! How exciting is that!

You’re Business-Minded and Creative

If this sounds like the right type of placement for you, you’ll be business-minded, creative and have excellent social skills. You’ll also have advanced English skills and you’ll have a thirst for the travel industry. You’ll love working in a team and you’ll want to work, live and study in Australia.

Make Memories that Last a Lifetime!

Once you’ve completed your placement, as well as making memories that will last a lifetime, meeting new friends and seeing parts of Australia, you’ll also receive an internship certificate and an intensive English course certificate. All of these ingredients will give you a distinct advantage when it comes to getting on the career ladder as employers value work and study placement abroad experiences. We know you’re interested, so do get in touch here and we’ll start the ball rolling!
