Travel bag with clothes and colorful planes flying out on grungy background

Many people haven’t travelled for a while now, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and if you’re nodding your head, you may well have forgotten what your passport looks like! 😊 Now is the time to check your passport’s expiry date and get excited about planning your Erasmus+ internship or your language school trip!

In the meantime, according to the Austrian State Printing Company (which is responsible for printing passports) around 1 million Austrian passports lost their validity in 2020 and many haven’t yet been renewed.

Every year, lots of passports expire and while we’ve just mentioned Austria, this article isn’t just about those passports. We advise everyone to check their travel documents, especially if you are about to plan your Erasmus+ mobility or a language school trip in the near future.

Don’t Risk Lengthy Wait Times

You can imagine the rush and waiting times at passport offices when people realise shortly before their trip that they need a new passport! Then there’s the worry whether your travel document will be organised in time before departure. That’s why we advise you to take care of the renewal of your travel document in advance. So that you don’t spoil the excitement leading up to your trip and you enjoy preparations for your Erasmus+ adventure or your language trip with zero stress.

No Matter Where You Live, Check Your Passport Validity

Once again, everyone needs a valid travel document for any stay abroad and should check their passport just to make sure that nothing stands in the way of an exciting and long-awaited Erasmus+ experience or language school trip!
